Vulcans have a particular reputation among the species of the Federation, not all of it flattering. This course inverts the lens: students learn to observe and interpret non-Vulcan cultures with disciplined neutrality, and in doing so, learn to see their own.
Case studies include: Andorian honour systems, Tellarite debate culture, Human ritual patterns, Bajoran spiritual praxis, and Trill symbiosis ethics.
